Measurement Final Math Assignment Measurement- Grade 5

At the Zoo- Grade 5 Length, Perimeter and Area

Congratulations! You are the newest Zoo Designer in Ontario!
In order to prove how good you are you need to design a new zoo in three days
and complete a quiz to prove your Length, Perimeter and Area knowledge on
the 4th day. All your work must be done in class.

For the Zoo:

The yard is a rectangle is it 45m long by 36m wide.
You need to tell me the total area and perimeter of the Zoon.

In the yard you need to include

-Rabbits

- Goats

- Sheep

- Pigs

- Ponies

- Donkies

- Any other important zoo features you can think of

For each of these items you need to include all your dimensions and the
area and perimeter of each item. Each region needs a different shape and size.  
ALL DRAWINGS MUST BE DONE WITH A RULER.

Your plan will be drawn on one peice of grid paper and all your work to show area
and perimeter will be included on a second piece.

For your quiz on the fourth day you will have to show how to convert units
between, mm, cm, dm and m. You will also need to be able to calculate area and
perimeter as well as use a ruler to draw straight lines.
